Necessary starting conditions : up and running MySQL server, and : mysql, php-mysql, libdbi-dbd-mysql, mod_auth_mysql, mysql-connector-odbc, mysql-libs, mysql-server
Where you can get MySAR odavde, untar it directly on server, in some appropriate folder.
Newly formed folder copy to /var/www (this is DocumentRoot folder for Apache server), under the name mysar, and with following characteristics :
drwxr-xr-x 12 apache apache 4096 Aug 17 2007 mysar
Start up MySQL server (set up root password, delete blank users in DB, all this is defined in one of my previous posts).
Use browser to go to : http://IP-address-of-server/mysar/www/, and follow the instructions.
After this pull in the logs :

If you get this error :
PHP Warning: mktime(): It is not safe to rely on the system’s timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier.
You need to do the following :
# vim /etc/php.ini
And set up :
date.timezone = “Europe/Belgrade”

After this command is started from CRON :
# crontab -l
*/5 * * * * /var/www/html/mysar/bin/mysar-importer.php
15 16 * * * /var/www/html/mysar/bin/mysar-maintenance.php

And that is that.
