1. How to insert Times New Roman font :
# wget http://www.my-guides.net/en/images/stories/fedora12/msttcore-fonts-2.0-3.noarch.rpm
Install the package, and restart LibreOffice (best to reboot the whole machine). Link.

2. How to set up a different page setup from the certan page onwards (portrait and Landscape) :
a. Insert a manual break, select the page break button, and on the style pull down menu just below the button choose landscape
b. All following pages will be in landscape orientation
c. When you want to switch back insert a manual break, select the page break button, and on the style pull down menu choose default, all following pages will be in default (portrait) orientation. Repeat anytime you want to change to a new orientation. Link.

3. How to insert index into document :
a. Under Tools/Outline Numbering, set up the format for Paragraph Style (mfor example Heading 2). If the index should have more levels, adjust them too.
b. All the titles and subtitles set up to be “Heading 1” (the Paragraph Style you have set up under “1”).
c. In the place you want index to be do the following : Insert/Indexes and Tables/Indexes and Tables (always put the Title!).
